The Embassy of Pakistan Brussels organized a webinar on the eve of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir today, to express its firm support to the people of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). The webinar was aimed at highlighting the Human Rights violations and Demographic Reengineering in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) by the Indian government, especially since August 5, 2019.
The panelists at the webinar included Mr. Phil Bennion, former MEP, Lord Wajid Iltaf Khan, Former MEP and Baron Khan of Burnley, Mr. Muzammil Ayyub Thakur, President World Kashmir Freedom Movement, Mr. Ali Raza Syed, Chairman EU Kashmir Council, Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani, Chairman Kashmir Institute of International Relations, Dr. Mubeen Shah, Former President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Barcs Sandor, Senior European Journalist and the Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Dr. Asad Majeed Khan.
In his remarks, the Ambassador apprised the audience about the unabated atrocities being committed by the Indian security forces, especially after illegally revoking the special status of the IIOJ&K on 5th August 2019. He underscored that the Indian government has converted the occupied territory into the world’s largest open prison by curbing the liberties and civil rights of the 8 million innocent Kashmiris.
Ambassador Khan emphasized that the post-August 5 2019 legislations including a series of new domicile laws are designed to change the demographic structure of the disputed territory in breach of the relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
While highlighting the grave human rights situation in the IIOJ&K, the Panelists called upon India to stop abusing innocent Kashmiris who were suffering under its illegal occupation for over past seven decades.
The webinar also condemned India’s brazen violations of the UN Security Council resolutions and called for immediate intervention of the international community for putting an end to the state repression and holding of a free and fair plebiscite in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
The webinar was live streamed on missions social media handles and it was attended by a large number of Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora, including a cross-section of academics, media and scholars.

“یوم استحصال کشمیر” کے موقع پر سفارتخانہ پاکستان برسلز میں ویبنارکا انعقاد
سفارت خانہ پاکستان برسلز نے آج یوم استحصال کشمیر کے موقع پر ایک ویبینار کا انعقاد کیا، جس میں بھارت کے زیرِ تسلط مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کے عوام کے ساتھ اپنی بھرپور حمایت کا اظہار کیا گیا۔ ویبینار کا مقصد ہندوستانی حکومت کی طرف سے 5 اگست 2019 کے بعد سے مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں اور آبادیاتی ری انجینئرنگ کو اجاگر کرنا تھا۔
ویبنار کے پینلسٹ میں مسٹر فل بینین، سابق ایم ای پی، لارڈ واجد الطاف خان، سابق ایم ای پی اور برنلے کے بیرن خان، مسٹر مزمل ایوب ٹھاکر، صدر ورلڈ کشمیر فریڈم موومنٹ، جناب علی رضا سید، چیئرمین ای یو کشمیر کونسل، کشمیر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف انٹرنیشنل ریلیشنز کے چیئرمین جناب الطاف حسین وانی، کشمیر چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے سابق صدر ڈاکٹر مبین شاہ اور یورپی یونین، بیلجیئم اور لکسمبرگ میں پاکستان کے سفیر جناب ڈاکٹر اسد مجید خان شامل تھے۔
اِس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے سفیرِ پاکستان نے حاضرین کو بھارتی سیکورٹی فورسز کی طرف سے کیے جانے والے مظالم کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ 5 اگست 2019 کو مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کی خصوصی حیثیت کو غیر قانونی طور پر منسوخ کر کے بھارت نے 80 لاکھ بے گناہ کشمیریوں کی آزادیوں اور شہری حقوق پر قدغن لگا کر مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کو دنیا کی سب سے بڑی کھلی جیل بنا دیا ہے۔
سفیر ِ پاکستان نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ 5 اگست 2019 کے بعد کی قانون سازی بشمول نئے ڈومیسائل قوانین کو نافذ کر کے بھارت اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کی متعلقہ قراردادوں اور چوتھے جنیوا کنونشن کی مسلسل خلاف ورزی کرتے ہوئے متنازعہ علاقے کے آبادیاتی ڈھانچے کو تبدیل کرنے کی کوشش کر رہا ہے۔
مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کی سنگین صورتحال کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے،مقررین نے بھارت سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ معصوم کشمیریوں کے ساتھ گزشتہ سات دہائیوں سے جاری غیر انسانی سلوک بند کرے۔
مقررین نے بھارت کی جانب سے اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کی قراردادوں کی خلاف ورزیوں کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے بھارتی ریاستی جبر کو ختم کرنے اور اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کی قراردادوں کے مطابق آزادانہ اور منصفانہ استصواب رائے کے انعقاد کے لیے عالمی برادری سے فوری مداخلت کا مطالبہ کیا۔
ویبنار کو سفارتخانے کے سوشل میڈیا ہینڈلز پر ل براہ راست دکھایا گیا جس میں پاکستانی اور کشمیری تارکین وطن کے علاوہ مقامی ماہرین تعلیم، میڈیا اور اسکالرز کی ایک بڑی تعداد بھی شامل تھی ۔
