Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union Mr. Zaheer A Janjua met the under 18 Belgian Boxing Champion Omar Shayan.
Pakistani-born Omar Shayan Ahmed had recently won the under 18 Belgian National title in the lightweight category (67kg).
Ambassador Janjua congratulated the Pakistani born boxer for achieving the Belgian national title. Appreciating the Pakistani-born boxer for competing in the Belgian National Boxing Championship, the Ambassador said that the Pakistani sportsmen and sportswomen have great potential and they have been contributing in projecting the positive image of the country.
The Belgian National Boxing Champions League was held in Ghent, which was attended by about 100 athletes from various categories. Omar Shayan won the title by defeating his rival Emza David.

پاکستانی نژاد عمر شایان احمد نے حال ہی میں لائٹ ویٹ کیٹیگری (67 کلوگرام) میں انڈر 18 بیلجیئم کا قومی ٹائٹل جیتا تھا۔
سفیرِ پاکستان نے چیمپئن شپ کے دوران نوجوان باکسر کے عزم اور اعتماد کو سراہا اور انہیں بیلجیئم کا قومی چیمپئن بننے پر مبارکباد دی۔
سفیر ِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستانی کھلاڑیوں انتہائی صلاحیتوں کے مالک ہیں اور وہ ملک کے مثبت امیج کو اجاگر کرنے میں اپنا کردار ادا کر رہے ہیں۔
بیلجیئم کی نیشنل باکسنگ چیمپئنز لیگ کا انعقاد بیلجئیم کے شہر گینٹ میں کیا گیا جس میں مختلف کیٹیگریز کے تقریباً 100 کھلاڑیوں نے شرکت کی۔ عمر شایان نے اپنے حریف ایمزہ ڈیوڈ کو شکست دے کر ٹائٹل اپنے نام کیا۔
