A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels to commemorate the National Day of Pakistan, today. Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Zaheer A. Janjua hoisted the national flag at the Chancery building.
The messages of the President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan were read out on the occasion. The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan in their respective messages congratulated the nation and paid tributes to the dynamic and visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. They reaffirmed their commitment to make tireless efforts to realize the vision of the founding fathers to make Pakistan a social welfare state on the model of Riyasat-e-Madina. The leaders also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and reiterated their resolve to extend all possible political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for the UN guaranteed right to self-determination.
In his message, Ambassador Janjua paid homage to the historic struggle of the Muslims of the Sub-Continent for an independent homeland, where they could live their lives with complete religious, cultural and social freedoms. He stressed the importance of the vision of Poet-Philosopher, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and ideals of Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who envisaged Pakistan to be a progressive, moderate and democratic country.
Appreciating the important role of overseas Pakistanis in the development of Pakistan, Ambassador Janjua highlighted the steps taken by the government to address their issues. He encouraged the Pakistani diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg to continue to play their role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
He emphasized that on this important day, we should not forget our Kashmiri brothers and sisters who continue to brave the illegal Indian occupation. He said that Pakistan stands firmly with its Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle against illegal occupation by India.
In line with the host government’s COVID-19 Pandemic related guidelines, the ceremony was restricted and attended by the Embassy officials.
آج یومِ پاکستان کے تناظر میں سفارتخانہ پاکستان برسلز میں پرچم کشائی کی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ یوروپی یونین ، بیلجیئم اور لکسمبرگ میں پاکستان کے سفیر ظہیر اے جنجوعہ نے قومی پرچم لہرایا۔
اس موقع پر صدر ڈاکٹر عارف علوی اور وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے پیغامات پڑھ کر سنائے گئے۔ صدر مملکت اور وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے اپنے اپنے پیغامات میں قوم کو مبارکباد پیش کی اور قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح اور علامہ محمد اقبال کی قیادت کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے پاکستان کو ریاستِ مدینہ کی طرز پر سماجی فلاحی ریاست بنانے کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ انہوں نے بھارتی غیر قانونی مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر (IIOJ & K) کے عوام سے بھی یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا اور اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں کے تحت ان کے حق خودارادیت کی جدوجہد میں ہر ممکن سیاسی ، سفارتی اور اخلاقی مدد فراہم کرنے کے عزم کا اعادہ بھی کیا۔
اپنے پیغام میں ، سفیرِ پاکستان ظہیر جنجوعہ نے برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کی ایک آزاد وطن کے لئے تاریخی جدوجہد کو خراج عقیدت پیش کیا ، جہاں وہ پوری مذہبی ، ثقافتی اور معاشرتی آزادیوں کے ساتھ اپنی زندگی گزار سکتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے شاعر فلسفی ، علامہ محمد اقبال اور قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح کے نظریات اور وژن کی اہمیت پر زور دیا ، جنہوں نے پاکستان کو ایک ترقی پسند ، اعتدال پسند اور جمہوری ملک ہونے کا تصور دیا۔
پاکستان کی ترقی میں بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے کردار کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے سفیر ِ پاکستان نے حکومت کی طرف سے ان کے مسائل حل کرنے کے لئے اٹھائے گئے اقدامات پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے بیلجیم اور لکسمبرگ میں مقیم پاکستانی کمیونٹی کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتے ہوئے انہیں پاکستان کی ترقی اور خوشحالی میں اپنا کردار ادا کرتے رہنے کی تلقین کی۔
انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ اس اہم دن پہ ، ہمیں اپنے کشمیری بہنوں اور بھائیوں کو فراموش نہیں کرنا چاہئے جو غیر قانونی بھارتی قبضے کے خلاف بہادری سے جنگ جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان اپنے کشمیری بھائیوں کے ساتھ بھارت کے غیر قانونی قبضے کے خلاف انصاف کی جدوجہد میں مضبوطی سے کھڑا ہے۔
مقامی حکومت کی CoVID-19 وبائی مرض سے متعلقہ رہنما خطوط کے مطابق ، تقریب کو سفارتخانے کے عہدیداروں کی حد تک محدود رکھا گیا۔
