The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels hosted an event at Pakistan House to promote Pakistan’s culture and tourism potential. A large number of lifestyle and travel influencers having millions of online followers attended the reception.
In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua said that Pakistan is blessed with majestic landscapes, rich and diverse culture and historical heritage.
He underscored Government’s efforts for promoting tourism and development of touristic destinations in the country. He highlighted that the British Backpacker Society, Forbes and Conde Nast Traveler had ranked Pakistan as the top adventure travel destination in the world.
Emphasizing the importance of social and digital media, Ambassador Janjua said that these platforms have become an essential element of our daily lives. People in Pakistan are actively using social media forums for sharing their perspectives on all facets of life, including culture, literature, music, movies, politics, education, health and tourism.
He highlighted that the Government was also using these social media applications to enhance its outreach, disseminate policies, ensure transparency and facilitate citizens, including their feedback on socio-economic issues.
He invited the participants to visit Pakistan and experience the enchanting beauty, cultural diversity and the proverbial hospitality of Pakistan.
The event also included introduction to Pakistani cuisine and culture. A corner was also arranged with traditional bangles and mehndi.
The social media influencers appreciated the event and Pakistani culture and cuisine.

برسلز میں پاکستان کے سفارتخانے نے پاکستان کی ثقافت اور سیاحت کی صلاحیت کو فروغ دینے کے لئے پاکستان ہاؤس میں ایک پروگرام کی میزبانی کی۔
لاکھوں آن لائن فالوورز پر مشتمل سوشل میڈیا بلاگز کی ایک بڑی تعداد نے استقبالیہ میں شرکت کی۔
بیلجیم ، لکسمبرگ اور یوروپی یونین میں پاکستان کے سفیر جناب ظہیر اے جنجوعہ نے اپنے استقبالیہ کلمات میں پاکستان میں سیاحت اور سیاحتی مقامات کی ترقی کے لئے حکومت کی کوششوں پر روشنی ڈالی ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ برطانوی بیک پیکر سوسائٹی ، فوربس اور کونڈے نسٹ ٹریولر نے پاکستان کو دنیا کی سرفہرست سیاحتی منزل قرار دیا ہے۔
سفیر پاکستان نے سماجی اور ڈیجیٹل میڈیا کی اہمیت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ پلیٹ فارم ہماری روزمرہ کی زندگی کا ایک لازمی عنصر بن چکے ہیں۔ پاکستان میں لوگ ثقافت ، ادب ، موسیقی ، فلموں ، سیاست ، تعلیم ، صحت اور سیاحت سمیت زندگی کے تمام پہلوؤں پر اپنے نقطہ نظر کو شیئر کرنے کے لئے سوشل میڈیا فورمز کو فعال طور پر استعمال کررہے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت سوشل میڈیا کے زریعے اطلاعات تک رسائ ، شفافیت کو یقینی بنانے اور شہریوں کی سہولت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے استعمال کر رہی ہے
انہوں نے شرکا کو پاکستان کا دورہ کرکے ملک کی دلکش خوبصورتی ، ثقافتی تنوع اور پاکستان کی مہمان نوازی دیکھنے کی دعوت بھی دی۔
اس تقریب میں پاکستانی کھانے اور ثقافت کے تعارف کے علاوہ روایتی چوڑیوں اور مہندی کا بھی اہتمام کیا گیا تھا۔
مہمانوں نے تقریب کے انعقاد اور پاکستانی ثقافت اور کھانے کو بےحد سراہا۔
