Ambassador Zaheer Janjua Holds Virtual Meeting with Pakistani Students in Belgium and Luxembourg

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua held a virtual interaction with the Pakistani students studying in various universities of Belgium and Luxembourg, here today. The meeting provided an opportunity to the students to share their experiences and discuss the latest situation
In his opening remarks Ambassador Janjua inquired about the well-being of students in the challenging times amidst COVID- 19 Pandemic. He advised students to continue following precautions to keep themselves safe and healthy.
“While the situation is being eased out in Europe, the pandemic is not yet over as the governments continue to enforce protective measures to avoid any second wave in Europe, so, I urge you to continue to take precautions and follow the guidelines lines issued by the local authorities and those by your educational institutions,” he said .
The Ambassador advised students to get themselves registered with the embassy and also encourage others to do the same. He said that the availability of students’ details enables the Embassy to maintain active contacts and deliver important information well in time. Talking about various measures initiated by the embassy to keep close contact with Pakistani community and students, the Ambassador said that such measures were important to ensure that all possible assistance could be extended to any one in need, during this crisis period.
He assured the students of resuming outreach activities of the Embassy which were to be halted due to lock down and said that the embassy will continue to facilitate students whenever required.
Students of the following universities participated in the discussion, K U Leuven, Ghent, Hasselt, Free University Brussels – Flemish (VUB), Free University Brussels – French (ULB) and University of Luxembourg.
