The Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Zaheer A. Janjua, held the 7th monthly Khuli Katchery in a virtual format with Pakistani diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Janjua highlighted that a group of 5 Belgian climbers are undertaking a mountaineering expedition in Pakistan, with the facilitation of the Embassy. He conveyed his felicitation to the Belgian climbers on the successful ascent of K2 and Broad Peak, the world’s 2nd and 12th highest peaks, respectively.
The Ambassador announced that due to the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions by the local authorities, the Independence Day ceremony on 14th August will be held physically at the Chancery. He said that the ceremony can be attended by all Pakistanis living in Belgium and Luxembourg by registration.
Referring to the recent devastating floods in Belgium and Luxembourg which caused severe damage to the lives and livelihoods of the people, Ambassador Janjua offered his condolences to the victims. He encouraged the Pakistani community members to assist the flood-affected people in their time of hardship.
Ambassador Janjua also briefed the diaspora about the facilities being provided by the Government of Pakistan for overseas Pakistanis including Vehicle Gift Scheme. He invited qualified overseas Pakistanis to apply for various high-level professional vacancies that are available in various institutions of the country.
The Khuli Katchery was organized in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, to maintain close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora and to extend seamless service delivery.
The virtual interaction was attended by a large number of diaspora members from different walks of life, including students, business, social services, and media.
The community members appreciated the Embassy’s outreach efforts and provision of efficient consular services.

یوروپی یونین ، بیلجیئم اور لکسمبرگ میں پاکستان کے سفیر ظہیر اے جنجوعہ نے بیلجیم اور لکسمبرگ میں مقیم پاکستانی کمیونٹی کے ساتھ ساتویں آن لائن کھلی کچہری کا انعقاد کیا۔
اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ 5 بیلجیئن کوہ پیماؤں کا ایک گروپ سفارتخانہ پاکستان کی معاونت سے اس وقت اپنی کوہ پیمائی مہم پر پاکستان میں موجود ہے ۔ انہوں نے بیلجیئن کوہ پیماؤں کو دنیا کی دوسری اور 12 ویں بلند ترین چوٹیوں- کے ٹو اور براڈ پیک کو کامیابی کے ساتھ سر کر نے پر مبارکباد دی۔
سفیرپاکستان نے کہا کہ مقامی حکام کی جانب سے پابندیوں میں نرمی کی وجہ سے ،14 اگست کو یوم آزادی کی تقریب چانسیری میں منعقد کی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ بیلجیم اور لکسمبرگ میں مقیم تمام پاکستانی رجسٹریشن کے ذریعے اس تقریب میں شرکت کرسکتے ہیں۔
بیلجیم اور لکسمبرگ میں حالیہ تباہ کن سیلاب کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے، سفیر پاکستان نے متاثرین سے تعزیت کی۔ انہوں نے پاکستانی کمیونٹی ممبران کو سیلاب سے متاثرہ لوگوں کی مدد کی تلقین بھی کی ۔
سفیرپاکستان نے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو وہیکل گفٹ سکیم سمیت حکومت پاکستان کی جانب سے فراہم کی جانے والی سہولیات کے بارے میں بھی بتایا۔ انہوں نے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو دعوت دی کہ وہ ملک کے مختلف اداروں میں دستیاب اعلیٰ پیشہ ورانہ آسامیوں کے لیے درخواست دیں ۔
اس تقریب کا اہتمام وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے بیرونِ ملک مقیم پاکستانی کمیونیٹی کے ساتھ قریبی رابطے کو برقرار رکھنے کے وژن کی مناسبت سے کیا گیا تھا ، تاکہ بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو بلا تعتل خدمات کی فراہمی ممکن بنائی جا سکے۔
ورچوئل کچہری میں مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی سے تعلق رکھنے والے کمیونٹی ممبران نے بڑی تعداد میں شرکت کی، جن میں اکیڈمیا، پیشہ ور افراد، کاروبار، سماجی خدمات اور میڈیا کے نمائندے شامل ہوئے۔
کمیونٹی ممبران نے سفارتخانے کی کوششوں اور موثر قونصلر خدمات کی فراہمی کو سراہا۔
