The Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels, organized the 13th Khuli Katchery in a virtual format with the Pakistani diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua conveyed greetings to the participants for the New Year and hoped that this year would be a year of peace and prosperity for all the Pakistanis as well as the global community.
Referring to the country’s economy progress, the Ambassador noted that the size and growth rate of Pakistan’s economy has increased significantly during the current fiscal year, making it the highest economic growth recorded in the last three years with 5.37% growth rate for this year. He elaborated that despite various challenges, including the pandemic, all economic indicators were positive, which is a great achievement of the government and it has won full recognition and praise from the international community.
The Ambassador underscored that the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative of the government has been a resounding success as according to the latest figures, remittances under the RDA scheme have increased to 3.16 billion by the end of December 2021. He noted that the government has taken a number of decisions to make the scheme simple, convenient and hassle-free for the Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs).
Ambassador Janjua underlined that the foreign direct investment (FDI) in different sectors of the economy rose 20% to $1.06 billion in the first six months of the ongoing fiscal year, owing to government’s efforts to create an environment conducive for foreign investors.
Referring to the new wave of COVID 19, the Ambassador emphasised that precaution is the greatest defence against this pandemic. He encouraged the community members to follow the guidelines issued by the host Government.
The monthly interaction with the Pakistani diaspora was organized in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and in line with Embassy’s efforts to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery to the Pakistani diaspora.
The virtual interaction was attended by diaspora members from different walks of life. The community members conveyed their complete satisfaction with the services provided by the Embassy. They particularly praised the ease of access and the forthcoming attitude of the Embassy to resolve the problems faced by the members of the Pakistani community in Belgium and Luxembourg.

سفیرِ پاکستان برائے بیلجئم ، لکسمبرگ اور یورپی یونین جناب ظہیر اسلم جنجوعہ نے گفتگو کا آغاز اپنے اور اپنی تمام ٹیم کی جانب سے نئے سال کی مبارک باد سے کیا اور امید ظاہر کی کہ یہ سال ہم سب کے لئے خوشیوں اور مسرتوں کا سال ہو۔ سفیرِ پاکستان نے اس بات پر اطمینان کا اظہار بھی کیا کہ عوامی رابطے کا یہ سلسلہ کامیابی کے ساتھ جاری و ساری ہے ۔
ملکی معیشت کی ترقی کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے، سفیرِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی معیشت کے حجم اور شرح نمو میں رواں مالی سال کے دوران نمایاں اضافہ ہوا ہے، جو اس سال کے لیے 5.37 فیصد شرح نمو کے ساتھ گزشتہ تین سالوں میں ریکارڈ کی جانے والی بلند ترین اقتصادی ترقی ہے۔ انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ وبائی امراض سمیت مختلف چیلنجوں کے باوجود تمام معاشی اشاریے مثبت رہے جو کہ حکومت کی ایک بڑی کامیابی ہے اور اس نے عالمی برادری سے بھرپور پذیرائی اور تعریف حاصل کی ہے۔
سفیرِ پاکستان نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ حکومت کا روشن ڈیجیٹل اکاؤنٹ اقدام شاندار کامیابی رہا ہے کیونکہ تازہ ترین اعداد و شمار کے مطابق دسمبر 2021 کے آخر تک اسکیم کے تحت ترسیلات زر بڑھ کر 3.16 بلین ہو گئی ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت نے غیرمقامی پاکستانیوں کے لیے اسکیم کو آسان اور پریشانی سے پاک بنانے کے لیے متعدد فیصلے کیے ہیں۔
سفیرِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ حکومت کی جانب سے غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاروں کے لیے سازگار ماحول پیدا کرنے کی کوششوں کی وجہ سے جاری مالی سال کے پہلے چھ ماہ (جولائی سے دسمبر) میں پاکستان کی معیشت کے مختلف شعبوں میں براہ راست غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاری (ایف ڈی آئی) 20 فیصد اضافے سے 1.06 بلین ڈالر تک پہنچ گئی۔
کرونا کی نئی لہر کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے سفیرِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ اعداد و شمار بتا رہے ہیں کہ کرونا کی نئی قسم اور بھی زیادہ تیزی سے پھیل رہی ہے اس کے مدِنظر انتہائی احتیاط سے کام لیں کیونکہ احتیاط ہی اس وبا کے خلاف بہترین دفاع ہے .
تقریب کا انعقاد وزیراعظم عمران خان کے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں سے قریبی رابطے برقرار رکھنے کے وژن کے مطابق کیا گیا تھا تاکہ بیرونِ ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو خدمات تک فعال انداز میں رسائی حاصل ہو۔
آن لائن کھلی کچہری میں مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد نے شرکت کی۔ کمیونٹی ممبران نے سفارت خانے کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔
