The Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels, organized the 11th Khuli Katchery in a virtual format with the Pakistani diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Talking about various initiatives of the Government to facilitate Overseas Pakistanis, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua referred to the establishment of tax facilitation points at Pakistan’s international airports and border crossings for the facilitation of the overseas Pakistanis.
The Ambassador also highlighted the recently introduced online system for attesting power of attorney and setting up of facilitation desks by the government in various ministries and divisions to facilitate the diaspora.
Ambassador Janjua congratulated the community members on attaining the right to vote and stressed that the measure will enable them to exercise their due right by directly contributing in political decision making of the country.
Commending Omar Shayan Ahmed, a Pakistani origin boxer who recently won the Belgian under-18 National boxing title, Ambassador Janjua underscored that Pakistani athletes have tremendous potential and they are projecting positive image of the country.
Referring to the new wave of COVID 19, the Ambassador emphasised that precaution is the greatest defence against this pandemic. He encouraged the community members to follow the guidelines issued by the host Government.
The monthly interaction with the Pakistani diaspora was organized in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and in line with Embassy’s efforts to ensure efficient and smooth service delivering to the Pakistani diaspora.
The virtual interaction was attended by diaspora members from different walks of life. The community members conveyed their complete satisfaction with the services provided by the Embassy. They particularly praised the easy access and the forthcoming attitude of the Embassy to resolve the problems faced by the members of the Pakistani community in Belgium and Luxembourg.

سفارت خانہ پاکستان، برسلز نے بیلجیئم اور لکسمبرگ میں مقیم پاکستانیوں کے لئے 11 ویں کھلی کچہری کا انعقاد ورچوئل فارمیٹ میں کیا ۔
حکومتِ پاکستان کے پاکستانی کمیونٹی کی سہولت کے لئے کئے گئے اقدامات کے حوالے سے گفتگو کر تے ہوئے سفیرِ پاکستان برائے بیلجئم ، لکسمبرگ اور یورپی یونین جناب ظہیر اسلم جنجوعہ نے کہا کہ حال ہی میں پاکستان کے بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈوں اور سرحدی گزرگاہوں پر ٹیکس فیسیلیٹیشن پوائنٹس قائم کرنے کے حوالے سے کہا کہ یہ تمام پوائنٹس بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کی رہنمائی،آگاہی اور بہتری کے لئے قائم کئے گئے ہیں ۔
سفیرِ پاکستان نے مذید کہا کہ حکومتِ پاکستان نے موجودہ حالات کے مدِنظر اور جدیدٹیکنالوجی کے ذریعے پاکستانیوں کے لئے پاور آف اٹارنی کو اٹیسٹ کرنے کے لئے آن لائن سسٹم متعارف کروا دیا ہے جوکہ ابتداع میں یوکے اور یو ایس اے میں نافذ العمل ہو گا اور جلد ہی یہ سہولت دیگر ممالک کے لئے بھی شروع کر دی جائیں گی ۔ انہوں نے پاکستانی کمیونٹی کی سہولت کے لئے مختلف وزارتوں میں قائم کئے جانے والے سہولت ڈیسکس کے حوالے سے بھی آگاہ کیا۔
سفیرِ پاکستان نے بیروں ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو ووٹ کا حق ملنے پر دل کی گہرائیوں سے مبارک باد دی، اور کہا اس اقدام سے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانی عملی طور پر پاکستان کی سیاست اور حکومت میں سیاسی حصہ دار بن گئے ہیں۔
حال ہی میں بیلجیئم انڈر 18 باکسگ ٹائٹل جیتنے والے پاکستانی نژاد باکسر عمر شایان احمد کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے سفیر ِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستانی کھلاڑی انتہائی صلاحیتوں کے مالک ہیں اور وہ ملک کے مثبت تصور کو اجاگر کرنے میں اپنا کردار ادا کر رہے ہیں۔
کرونا کی نئی لہر کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے سفیرِ پاکستان نے کہا ہم سب اس وبا کے باعث زہنی طور پر تھک چکے ہیں۔ تاہم یہ بات اہم ہے کہ اس تھکن کے باوجود ہم انتہائی احتیاط سے کام لیں کیونکہ احتیاط ہی اس وبا کے خلاف بہترین دفاع ہے۔
تقریب کا انعقاد وزیراعظم عمران خان کے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں سے قریبی رابطے برقرار رکھنے کے وژن کے مطابق کیا گیا تھا تاکہ بیرونِ ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو خدمات تک فعال انداز میں رسائی حاصل ہو۔
آن لائن کھلی کچہری میں مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد نے شرکت کی۔ کمیونٹی ممبران نے سفارت خانے کی کوششوں کو سراہا۔
